Originally by: Klaus Hauptmann Has SMASH and ROADKILL given up hope ? I experienced today what their pilots are really made of - Loyalty, Pride, and Love for their home means absolutely nothing to them. They are either cowards, or selfish individuals.
The Story Earlier today, the Ihatalo Navy took a small number of it's most experienced 'customs' officers into Geminate to track down SMASH and ROADKILL pilots believed to be responsible for a number of crimes against the Cartel, namely piracy and murder.
Having eliminated a mediocre first line of defence, the Navy easily entered BWF-ZZ to challenge their fleet stationed there. However, despite SMASHKILL having nearly 3 times the number of combat pilots at their disposal than what we had, they simply refused to defend their so called territory and remained docked. It around this time our intelligence department discovered the location of a SMASH and ROADKILL fleet, of which 4 pilots at the top of our most wanted list were believed to be flying amongst. And so, the Ihatalo Navy effortlessly travelled SMASH and ROADKILL space, eliminating a number of SMASH affiliates along the way who were believed to be carrying contraband.
Near to the location the SMASHKILL fleet had been sighted, we encountered INFOD, RIOT, and COW pilots, who were also hunting the SMASHKILL fleet and had assembled an impressive fleet and show of strength. Due to SMASHKILL's reputation of running from fights unless they outnumber you, we decided to co-ordinate with the INFOD lead fleet to set a trap for the SMASHKILL fleet. SMASHKILL took the bait. It worked exactly to plan. Within 1 minute of combat, the Navy and allied fleets destroyed the SMASHKILL fleet, seized and impounded goods discovered in their ship wrecks, and executed the criminals for their crimes. Initial estimates put SMASHKILL losses in the region of 2.5 - 3.5 billion isk in that single engagement.
Having forced the remaining SMASHKILL fleet to go defend it's now exposed territory borders, they made a critical mistake of neglecting to monitor the BWF-ZZ system. Wasting no time, the Ihatalo Navy led 12 brave pilots into BWF-ZZ and blockaded the station by putting up multiple warp bubbles in key strategic locations around the station, which would be instrumental in preventing SMASHKILL being able to run like cowards and dock. Those ships that attempted a docking run were caught in the warp disruption field and suffered the consequences. For over 3 hours, the Ihatalo Navy blockaded the BWF-ZZ station, preventing SMASHKILL members from being able to insta dock to the station. Despite the uneven numbers to their favor in local 2/3 red and 1/3 blue and despite the fact they had 3 carriers, a dreadnought, 8+ Battleships, 8+ Battlecruisers, and many other ships, they refused to engage us.
They did not mount a counter attack. Not one SMASHKILL pilot attempted to remove us from the station. We took their home from them, dared them to come reclaim it, yet nothing. We decided to go back to Akora. If that wouldn't get them out for a fight, what would...
We decided to leave the bubbles up, hoping that a freighter would be unlucky enough to hit one of the bubbles, just coz the thought of it was funny. When we monitored the SMASHKILL intel channel a few hours later, they were still reluctant to fly to the station because the bubbles were still there. Yes thats right, the Warp Disruption bubbles were still active.
How embarasing it must have been for the SMASH and ROADKILL leaders when they heard that their members were too cowardly or didn't care enough to remove, or even attempt to remove 12 enemies who were blockading one of their home bases. Not only are they having to deal with superior PVP opponents, they have to face the fact that their own members do not care about the sinking SMASHKILL ship.
Perhaps that is why Emperor[Rome] has been frantically recruitng whoever he can lately....
Ok cupcake if your so hot why don't you take the system. Home base indeed.
